Simon Cowell Confirms They Have Settled On A Fourth X Factor Judge and Asks 1D Fans To Stay Loyal

Footage published online, which appeared to have been filmed by Louis Tomlinson during their tour in Peru, seemed to show him smoking cannabis with bandmate Zayn Malik.

Some fans of the boyband have criticised them but Cowell spoke in their favour during the Health Lottery fundraising event in London on Monday.

He said: “What I can say is, I’ve worked with the boys for a long time. They are the hardest working boys I’ve ever worked with, they still haven’t changed, they’re really respectful to their fans, they’re hard working, they’re a great British export, but that’s all I can really say.”

Asked if their fans would support them, he said: “I hope the fans stay loyal but that’s all I can really say.

“I’ve worked with a lot of artists in the past who do lose the plot and do lose respect for their fans and forget who put them there – they’ve never done that. They really do love their fans so I can only talk about my own personal relationship with them and they’ve been a joy to work with.”

Simon also said he had “settled” on the fourth judge for the next series of the X Factor. The choice will join Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh on the panel.

He said: “We’ve settled on someone and we’re going to make an announcement this week. It’s not just finding a name, it’s someone who’s going to do the job.

“They’ve got to really commit to the artists and that’s why it’s been a long decision. It’s a female.”

Stephen Mulhern Talks Working With Simon Cowell…

Stephen Mulhern host of Britain’s Got More Talent chats to Emily Retter from the Daily Mirror about working with Simon Cowell.

When asked what Stephen thought of the holiday snaps taken of Simon, Lauren, baby Eric and the dogs in Miami, he told Emily

“When I saw it I could only think Simon is acting so differently. This certainly isn’t the norm for him. And those dogs are suddenly taking centre stage, they haven’t before. I don’t know why they’re so prominent now.

“I think he’s thinking by having these photos taken, ‘Say what you will, think what you will, this is my baby and my life and I’m a very happy man’. But David Walliams will certainly tease him.

“I’m fascinated, it’s fascinating, and I can’t wait to see him.”

Stephen went on to say, Simon has delayed the next stage of filming Britain’s Got Talent by a week and a half so he can spend more time with three-week-old mini-me Eric.

Stephen adds: “I have two brothers and they both have kids and they absolutely transformed in a good way when they had them, so I can’t wait to see what Simon’s like. I honestly think this maybe the one thing that has completed him, I genuinely believe that.

Simon Cowell Will Return To The UK X Factor For 2014

Reports today suggest Simon Cowell is moving back to Britain to return as a judge on this year’s X Factor. He met British TV bosses last week and agreed to return.

ITV originally discussed Simon’s return to the UK show in September while agreeing a deal for a new three-year renewal deal for the talent show, and the source said: ‘It was made very clear to Simon that everyone was desperate for him to be back on the UK X Factor panel.’

A source said “Simon is determined to get the show back to its best. He’ll sign the deal very soon but has told the team that he’s on board.

“Everyone’s over the moon.”

Simon, has also told executives at the Kensington headquarters of his record label Syco that he would be back and living in the capital.

In a further sign that his return is for the foreseeable future, he has built a nursery at his house with a London skyline mural on the wall, according to insiders.

The source added: “His primary home will be in London, although he will keep his LA residences. “Lauren will also move over here but split her time between London and New York where her son is based.”

“His heart is in the UK and he is delighted with the nursery. The mural was his idea.”

US X Factor bosses wanted Simon to stay on the Stateside version of the show and fly between LA and London.

But Simon told them he was committed to the UK version and declined their offer. He will still be involved in the US show although not as a judge.

Simon’s spokesman said: “No comment.”

Simon Cowell’s Baby With Lauren Silverman Will Be Born In Britain

The Sunday People reports today Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman’s baby will be born in the UK.

The baby, due next February, will be born in a London hospital while Simon records the audition stages of Britain’s Got Talent.

Lauren and Simon made the decision after working out their busy schedules.

Despite Lauren being American and living in New York, the couple decided the best option is for the baby to be born in Britain.

The hospital is likely to be one close to the X Factor boss’s west London mansion.

After giving birth Lauren will move into Simon’s home in Holland Park where the family will live until they return to the States in June once BGT is over.

A source close to Simon said: “He is thrilled that the baby will be born in England. He and Lauren have taken a decision based on what is best for the baby and they’ve chosen the UK.

“Because Simon has to be in the UK for BGT at that time, it is the only option. He wants to be at Lauren’s side when she gives birth and wants to be with his son after he’s born.

“They’re now looking carefully at which hospital they will use.

“It is most likely to be a private hospital so that Lauren can have an obstetrician with her throughout the birth.”

Simon’s £8million mansion is just a stone’s throw from St Mary’s hospital where the Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to Prince George in the ultra-posh Lindo Wing. Giving birth there can cost up to £10,000.

Another option is Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital, a celebrity favourite.

The third possibility is the Portland, where Victoria Beckham gave birth to her eldest sons Brooklyn and Romeo.
