UK X Factor News: The X Factor Winner To Support Beyonce In Concert


As part of a world exclusive prize, the winner of this year’s X Factor is to support international musical superstar Beyonce in concert, next year on her Mrs Carter tour in the UK.

The three finalists  – Sam Bailey, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald – were told last night ahead of the final. In a specially recorded video message to the finalists, Beyonce said:

“Hey, I just wanna say good luck to all The X Factor finalists and announce a very special prize to the winner. The winner of this year’s X Factor will be joining me on the Mrs Carter tour, coming back to Europe in February. I can’t wait to see you soon. Good luck!”

The winner, who will be crowned this weekend in the hit show’s spectacular live final and secure a live changing recording contract, will open for Beyonce at her concert in Birmingham in February 2014.

The 10th series of X Factor concludes this weekend in a spectacular live final at Wembley Arena in front of 10,000 fans. On Saturday night the three finalists will duet with musical star.

Sam Bailey will be joined on the Wembley stage by X Factor’s very own judge, and international pop-superstar Nicole Scherzinger for an exclusive performance of the iconic ballad ‘And I Am Telling You’.

Luke Friend will be teaming up with the award winning, singer songwriter Ellie Goulding. They will merge their unique musical style to perform ‘Anything Could Happen’ from Ellie’s platinum selling album Halcyon.

And Nicholas McDonald will join forces with Westlife’s frontman Shane Filan to perform an unmissable performance of the group’s iconic number one hit single ‘Flying Without Wings’. Shane has supported Nicholas throughout his X Factor experience, after being one of Louis’ guest judges this year.

A whole host of A-list musical superstars and pop icons have also been lined up to perform and celebrate the biggest night in music television. The Killers and Tom Odell will perform on Saturday, with Gary Barlow and Elton John, Katy Perry and One Direction performing on Sunday.

The X Factor is on Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7.30pm on ITV
